Who is Crazy Larry?
Crazy Larry is a talented group of musicians that came together over their love of music and passion to entertain. Joe, Matt E. & Miguel formed a  powerful rock trio consisting of a whaling guitar, rock solid drum beats and Joe's dynamic vocal style.   Meanwhile out west Sam Nord and Matt L were cooking up rock & roll magic of their own developing talents on guitar, bass, drums, keys and vocals. When these two groups of musicians came together Crazy Larry was born.  They have been playing and performing ever since, continually pushing their musical abilities to the limit while rapidly expanding their musical repertoire.   Now the explosive rock cover band boasts an expansive list of the greatest cover songs that have ever graced a bar goer's ear.

Whether you are looking to draw in a crowd or entertain your guests Crazy Larry is available to play parties, bars or any kind of venue and will be sure to fit the bill!  Visit our contact page for booking information!

Joe De St. Hubert- Lead Vocals
Little is known about Joe De St. Hubert.  Joe was found wandering around Crazy Larry's rehearsal space on the University of Minnesota campus when they were a just a fledgling band.  Noticeably intoxicated and disoriented Joe was invited in for a beer, seeing a microphone and a guitar Joe instantly wowed the band with his amazing vocal range and distinct singing style.  An immediate bond formed between Joe and the rest of the band, after trading war stories about past musical experiences, Phish concerts and general tales of mayhem Joe was asked to join the band.

Joe has been the front man and the face of Crazy Larry ever since, though the band still knows little about him past his passion to rock and musical prowess his mysticism brings the shroud of mystery and Zeppelin like "Black Magic" that makes Crazy Larry different than your average cover band.  Joe's on stage persona has been growing ever closer to the bands namesake of Crazy Larry and the rest of the band suspect that soon that Joe will be no more and only Crazy Larry will remain.

Miguel "Rico" Irizarry
- Drums
Miguel has been drumming since he was a little kid and has always loved music. His influences stem from classic rock from KQRS to 93X.  His musical tastes are derived from listening to his dad sing Beatles songs on his acoustic guitar and attending live concerts for bands like Led Zeppelin, Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, Kings of Leon, Paramore, Soundgarden, and Foo Fighters.

Miguel's drumming idols are John Bonham from Zep and Chad Smith from the Chili Peppers.  He has performed  in several cover bands.  While attending St. Olaf College he was in a band called Shotgun Jeans, and then later went to work on original material with That's Not My Sister, Grizzly James, and MoneyPenny.  Through performing he is able to  bring his music  to a  high level of appreciation and expression.  Miguel is a teacher during the school year and  a bartender on weekends at the Minnesota History Center in   St. Paul.

Crazy Larry, Minneapolis Cover Band Earnest

Matt "Flyboy" Earnest  - Rhythm Guitar & Saxaphone
Matt grew up on a steady diet of classic rock including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and Led Zeppelin.  He's traveled all over the U.S., and as far as London's Royal Albert Hall to hear bands like Paul McCartney and The Who.  After getting Aerosmith's "Pump" as a Christmas gift in junior high he became a devoted fan of the bad boys from Boston and continues to admire Joe Perry's guitar style to this day.

Matt bought his first six string, a white Squire II Stratocaster, in junior high in order to try out for the school jazz band.  That audition never happened but that guitar came in handy 20 years later when Matt co-founded the classic rock cover band Benson, now known as Crazy Larry.

When not jamming with the band Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 year old daughter.  Until the band  catches their big break Matt spends his days flying as a 757 first officer for a major cargo airline.
